Brief Information

The Haunted Mansion is back, but with a new mystery surrounding it and just waiting to be found by daring Maplers. Now filled with zombies, skeletons and other creepy or plain scary monsters, they will try to prevent you from uncovering the entire mystery hidden in the Mansion. But to the courageous Maplers that do manage to do so, a Eerie Chair awaits them, a souvenir to remember this spooky adventure by.

Olivia awaits outside the Mansion located in Masteria, in dire need for help… will you help out the seemingly innocent girl?

Party Quest Requirements
• Required minimum 3 members in a squad.
• All players must complete the pre-requisite quests before the party can enter.
• There are 3 level ranges for this Party Quest:
– 15 ~ 40
– 41 ~ 60
– 61 onwards

How do I get to the Haunted Mansion?

From Kerning City Subway, purchase a ticket to go to New Leaf City(NLC), after which, you will just need to hail a cab at the very left corner of town.

What are the possible reward after defeating the boss of the Haunted Mansion?
The reward is a chair that is most magnificient indeed.

2. [System Event] Witch Malady
(Event Period: 06/10/2010 – 03/11/2010)

Witch Malady is located outside the Mansion as well, and she is on a quest to collect as many Dark Tokens in the quickest time for the Great Baba Yaga. In doing so, she will ensure that her sect of witches would be the best in the Great Baba Yaga’s eyes!

Where do I find these Dark Tokens?
These Dark Tokens are dropped by all mobs in the world! Here are some of the equipment Witch Malady will reward you with… if you have enough Dark Tokens of course.

3. [System Event] Cassandra’s Trick or Treat
(Event Period: 06/10/2010 – 03/11/2010)

Cassandra is getting into the spirit of Halloween by exchanging trick or treat gifts for Halloween Stick Candies that is dropped by all monsters! Experience the fun of Trick and Treating with Cassandra… will you get a trick, or a treat?

What are the tricks and treats? Here are some examples of what you might get!

A ghost costume, a leech costume, and a suspicious looking black bag…

Wonderful treats that not only taste good but helps you on your adventures!

Repeatable every 1 hour.

4. [System Event] Suni Needs Help!
(Event Period: 06/10/2010 – 27/10/2010)

Cute little Suni is in desperate need for mesos, and she is asking Maplers to help her out by donating what they can to her. She will show her gratitude by giving away her prized possessions, based on how much has been donated to her, and she does have some really good items!

You may donate 1 meso to 1 billion mesos, once every hour. Of course, the more you donate, the higher the chances to get something really good. We have peeked at what Suni has to give away, and here is what we managed to get a glimpse at. There are plenty more of items we couldn’t see though!

Repeatable every 1 hour.

5. [System Event] They’re Coming…
(Event Period: 13/10/2010 – 10/11/2010)

Sealed boxes are dropping all over Maple World, and no one is sure why they are. But many are starting to find out that these boxes contain wonderful loot! But, perhaps, these boxes are too good to be true, and there is a catch. And, with whispers about a war in the shadows being heard in the dark alleys, it seems like too much of a coincidence. Perhaps, someone as wise as Cassandra would know more.

She has been requesting for feathers from her owl, and some have said that they can be found in these very boxes! Return them to her, or perhaps, use them yourself to see something miraculous happen.

Try to uncover the mystery together with Cassandra, and earn yourself some great loot in the process!
Cassandra will allow up to 2 Special Exchange Trades with each character for those who assist her in getting the feathers!

6. [System Event] M.V Event
(Event Period: 20/10/2010 – 10/11/2010)

Cody is part of a small band of heroes sworn to protect Maple World from outside threats. But even when they are few in number, they have stopped countless plots in the shadows… Until now. Mal Volance (M.V) who was a fine hero that was part of their group has betrayed them and now seeks to cause anarchy instead of order. Unsure what has caused M.V to change, Cody suspects that he is under the influence of some strange, even demonic force, and is positive that he’s plotting something nefarious and needs help to stop him. Will you be able to protect the world from M.V?

Take part in the adventure to find out more about M.V through quests and a PQ Dungeon that is for parties with 3 to 5 members, and be reward if you successfully protect Maple World from the threat of M.V!

• Required minimum 3 members in a squad.
• A maximum of 5 members can be in a squad to participate in this PQ.

Now there is a new reason for you to play with the Gachapon as Flower Corsages will be added to the list of goodies you can get from the Gachapon. These flower corsages are for your medal slot, and will give you a title corresponding to it’s name! Available at all Gachapon machines.

Dear Maplers,

Have a go at Bingo Bingo while you work your way up the levels! From the 13th of September all the way to the 15th of October, Cassandra will give you a stamp on your Bingo Bingo card with every 20 Bingo Necklaces given to her, once a day.

Of course, just stamping a card is no fun, which is why each time you get a bingo (horizontal, vertical or diagonal), you will receive a mysterious box which will give you a random reward!

But that is not all, if you manage to get all 12 bingos (fill up the whole card!), you will get two extra boxes, for a total of 14 mysterious boxes!

So get started with Cassandra, and good luck hunting for Bingo Necklaces!

Oktoberfest 2010!

Dear Maplers,

Oktoberfest is coming soon, and what better way to celebrate it then have our very own Oktoberfest Tent in MapleSEA? Starting on the 15th of September and lasting all the way to the 15th of October, you will have ample time to partake in the festivities of Oktoberfest! However, Joyce requires some Malt from those who wish to enter, so keep your eyes opened for Malt that drops!

Once you collect enough to give to Joyce, she will then give you a Ticket to the Beer Tent!

This will grant you access to the Beer Tent, where you can meet Milla and assist her with clearing the tent of the monsters who had a little too much to drink, and taking back the Empty Beer Mugs from them.

For your hard work, Millia will give you a German Sausage hat, and other Oktoberfest goodies!
Note:
Each character will only get German Sausage hat ONCE when you complete the first quest given by Millia.
Rewards given by Millia for subsequence quests will be place on the table.

Visit the Oktoberfest Tent today and grab your very own German Sausage hat!

Fighting Black Crow

It was a weekday slack for me, but then yoboykia asked me to train with him. Eventually, a group of people started fighting Black Crow and we joined in the fun!

Another DK was also fighting inside.

There were casualties...

...but he was very brave, died a few times, and kept coming in!

Eventually, the other DK died a few times, and left...

I asked my pro friend for help, and he came!

yoboykia's attempt to lure Black Crow into the door failed...

By this time, I may have died 2 or 3 times liao.

After one hour, VICTORY!

2nd time for me. First time was with a group of 15x team.

• Required minimum 10 members in a squad.
• Maximum of 20 members in a squad.
• Required at least 2 characters from each of 5 main classes.
• Minimum level to attempt this party quest is 90 and above.
• Each character can only attempt the party quest twice in a day.

2. [Game] Premium Mini-Dungeon
(Release Period: 02/09/2010 – 16/09/2010)

From 2nd September 2010 to 16th September 2010, NPC Charlie will open up the Premium Mini Dungeons once again! What makes these event mini dungeons so special is that all the mobs roaming inside are dropping magical crystals which you can exchange rare items of your choice with Maple Administrator!

How to enter Premium Mini Dungeon:

Method 1 – Quest:
Speak to Maple Administrator to gather 4 Mini Dungeon tickets and exchange for 1 Free Entrance Ticket to enter the Premium Mini Dungeon.

Method 2 – Cash Shop:
The Maple Mini Dungeon Ticket will be available in the Cash Shop until the 15th September 2010! So hurry up and get them before they are gone! Each ticket is selling at ~~1,500~~ 1000 Maple Cash, while a bundle of eleven pieces is available at ~~15,000~~ 10,000 Maple Cash.

How does Premium Mini Dungeon works?
Premium Mini Dungeon can only be access by talking to NPC Charlie. Each Mini Dungeon Ticket allows you to stay inside Premium Mini Dungeon for 10 minutes.
Defeat the monsters to collect the Mini Dungeon Crystals and Diamonds that will trade you some amazing items like miracle scrolls and exclusive chairs! Speak to the Maple Administrator to exchange for the items of your choice.
Please take note that you will not be able to consume any potions while you are inside the Mini Dungeon.

Evil aliens are on the loose over the whole of MapleSEA! Vavaan the Space Detective requires the help of all maplers to assist him in capturing all these aliens that are roaming around in almost all towns!

How do I capture the aliens? And using what?

• Look for NPC Vavaan in each town to receive the quest.
• You will receive 1 use slot item, Capture-the-Alien-Ball.
• Hit the aliens in towns to make them weak enough to be captured.
• Move near the alien and use Capture-the-Alien-Ball to held it captive inside the ball. (Hint: Item can be set under key settings)
• Exchange the Captured Alien Ball with Vavaan and receive [Milky Way Star]
• Open up [Milky Way Star] and receive surprise rewards including Star over a Tree Chair!

That’s not all! Vavaan is also putting up a generous reward out to avid helpers in capturing these evil~fly~doers!
Talk to NPC Vanaan to check on the top rankings and scores in alien capturing!

At the end of the event on 29th September 2010, Top 3 Characters of Each World in alien capturing will receive the following prizes:

These are the stats for the rings BEFORE the BIGBANG Patch

Here are some guides: -

Only an adventurer character can obtain the ring and transfer it ONCE via storage.

this means KOC, Aran, Evan , wildhunter, battlemage, mechanic, dualblade cannot get this ring from the NPC.

You cannot mix rings. adventurer ring cannot be worn together with lirin or resistance rings. if you can now. eventually it will be removed cos its a BUG that you can.

there are TWO ways to get the ring.
(for characters below level 10)
you must train from lvl 10-50 and not skip any of the quests given by cassandra at levels 10,20,30,40,50 for obtaining the ring. if you skip any of them by overleveling (to be checked) then too bad for you. you have to start over or do the explorer +30 level quest once you hit lvl 50

OR

(for characters above level 50) you must gain 30 levels on your current character.
considering this event last a month, if you are > lvl 100 i think you are better off making a ring mule by training a new lvl 1 character till lvl 50.

if you are in level 10~lvl 50, then you can use the first option. create a new character and transfer the ring via the storage OR you can train till level 50 and pick up the "explorer +30 quest" and then train till 80

Launching of Dragon Rider Quest

Brief Information

Once again, a whole new boss party quest adding in to our current collection of 6 boss party quests!

This time round, players will have to take on our Vengeful Dragon & Dragon Rider in order to get newly introduced Elemental equipment items and tablets!

Before you can meet the Vengeful Dragon & Dragon Rider, you will have to first assist Chief Tatamo. Listen to his plea and help him to save his villagers from unwanted sufferings and attacks from the unknown Dragon Rider.

Get the ingredients to concoct a special portion that allows humans to fly. With the help from Matada and the portion, you will be able to take on the challenge on the same ground with the skill, Soaring .

Beware that the road will not be easy without our help!

How to start?

Once your character has obtained Level 100, Maple Administrator will be passing on a message on behalf of Chief Tatamo. Listen to what Chief Tatamo has to say and as you progress, you are one step closer to facing the Vengeful Dragon & Dragon Rider!

Oops, you will need a party of at least 3 party members to enter Crimson Sky to meet the Vengeful Dragon & Dragon Rider!

Don’t forget to gather few of your buddies and face the boss together!

Elemental Items

What are Elemental Equipment items?

Elemental equipment items are items with durability that can activate special stats for your equipment. And what are these tablets for?

Do remember to constantly check on the durability of your elemental equipment item, repair them once the weapon’s durability is low. Repair NPCs are Vicious, Mr. Thunder, Francois, JM From tha Streetz, Cheryl, Neve, Gordon, Sarah, Tara, Rydole & Mos.

NPCs will of course charge you with a repairing fee for repairing your dearest elemental equipment, however, the repair fee varies for each different weapon and weapon’s current durability level.

Best part is elemental weapons can be traded for once with the help of our Platinum Scissors of Karma.

1. Click on ‘O’ to open the Party Search Page and double click on the Party that you wish to participate.

2. A new registration page will appear.

3. Click on ‘Create’ to create a new party or to join any party that has been created.

4. Choose the difficulty level of the Party Quest if available.

5. Click ‘OK’ to confirm on creating a Party listing.

6. Your Party listing has been successfully created.

7. Other players will be able to see your Party listing on the Party Search window.

8. Use the ‘Find Party Member’ function in search for interested players for the same quest!

9. While the system searches for the right party member, there will be an icon appearing on the top right corner of your screen.

You may wish to ‘Pause’ or ‘Stop’ the search by clicking on the respective button below the ‘Party Search’ function.

Follow Function in MapleSEA!
Always have problem following your buddies in MapleStory? Now there is an effortless way to follow your buddies.

When in the same map, stand close to your buddy. Right click on your buddy and click on ‘Follow’.

This way, regardless of where your buddy goes, your character will follow him to his destination.

While in the ‘following’ mode, do not enter any other portal, or change the direction or your character or the mode will be automatically cancelled.

Do remember to watch out for your own safety when your character is following your buddy! Beware of the monsters on the loose!

Asiasoft Going To Close MapleSorry

Due to lagness, hacking and the lousy attitude of their staffs, asiasoft has decided to put a stop to all these issues. They will officially close the game service MapleSorry on the eve of Chinese New Year.

With the closure, asiasoft no longer require to print PPCs to pollute the friendly Earth with unwanted plastics. Their lousy attitude staffs will also be retrenched to provide the public a satisfactory answer. They also do not require the lousy servers of pentium 1 which they have used to serve the maplesorries for the past few years. They are willing to donate it to the public for a better cause.
With the closure of the service, kids have regained their freedom. They will require time to adjust their feelings and how not to stop scolding vulgarities or "CC please".

Asiasoft will release a better version of the game called MapleStory in which stories of unhappiness will unfold. Their new motto "Sorry"

More guild members are asking for guild Zak. Let's pool our knowledge and resources together and see how we can go about doing it.

I'll just try to share whatever I know. Please feel free to edit my post.

There are only 2 channels for Zak; ch3 and ch4.

Channel 3 is a free-for-all channel and anyone can go try it.

Channel 4 is organised group Zak. I dunno how we can go into here, maybe the forums will have some clue.

The minimum level is 50. It is not really recommended, unless fellow pt members allow you to leech.

Maximum number of person that can zak at one time is 30. It may seem a lot, but usually more than 30 ppl crowd around there.

As with all boss stages, you can only go in twice a day. Dying inside is considered once! ^^ If got priest resurrect, that would be good.

For 1st timers, please complete your Quest 1 and Quest 2 first.
Quest 1 is deadmine quest, where upon completion, you get dead mine scrolls.
Quest 2 is jumping quest. Have fun clearing it!
Finally, Zak is possible!
